Windows XP – Icon Positionen speichern

Many Windows users like to arrange icons on the desktop in a certain order:

Multimedia applications
System symbols/tools
Temporary files for quick access

Working tool
Office applications

When the resolution is increased, the icons remain in exactly this position and you have to laboriously rearrange them. This manual correction and positioning of the icons takes time and has to be carried out every time the resolution is changed, the display device is changed, or the application crashes or goes full screen.

1. Download the Desktop Icon Manager and start the application. Click on Agree/OK/OK/OKto accept the license terms and create a standard profile.

2. Now arrange the icons on your desktop as you wish. Then right-click on the thought Desktop within the DIManager and select Refresh.

3. Now click on Speichern/Im Profil speichern… and enter a name such as Symbol arrangement for monitor ein.

You can thus create a series of profiles with different icon positions, which will save you the tedious work in future.
