Windows 98 – Windows-Schutzfehler beim Initialisieren des Geräts NDIS

Fast computers very often receive the error when initializing the NDIS device, which immediately aborts the Windows start process. The Windows 98 NDIS (Network Driver Interface Specification) driver is to blame here, as it does not work with processors above 2.1 Ghz when calibrating the network. A not to be underestimated proportion of users of fast PCs who want to do without the many new features of Windows XP are powerless against this error.

Windows-Tweaks provides the solution:

1. Download this file down!

2. Restart the computer and press (before the logo appears) the F8-button to access the Start menu. Select here Safe mode.

3. Now double-click on the unzipped folder ndis (You can find an unzipping program here: www.winace.com) and then click on 312108USA8.EXE.
