Windows 2000 – Sämtliche Laufwerke im Arbeitsplatz ausblenden

Wenn sie nicht möchten, dass irgendjemand den Inhalt ihrer Laufwerke betrachtet, empfehle ich ihnen sämtliche Eintrage im Arbeitsplatz zu deaktivieren. Die Standartprogramme können trotzdem ausgeführt werden und ihre Daten bleiben alle erhalten – es wird lediglich der Zugriff darauf verwehrt.

1. Click one after the other on Start > Execute and type in the command line regedit program. The program that now appears is reminiscent of the familiar Windows Explorer.

2. Double-click through the following keys HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ Policies\Explorer and click with the right mouse button in the right-hand pane and select New > DWORD value.

3. This new value appears. After giving it the name NoDrives double-click on it. In the following line, enter 3fffffffff (There are 7 f) in. After they have been Ok confirmed and restarted, your workstation looks like this:

To undo this setting, simply delete the created value.
