Windows 2000 – Schneller löschen ohne Papierkorb

If you delete files in the conventional way, they first go to the recycle bin, from where they can only be deleted properly. However, this deletion process can easily take several minutes and is unnecessary if you know that you no longer need the files.

Simply hold down the SHIFT key while deleting something with DEL. It's that easy! To deactivate the recycle bin completely, proceed as follows:

1. right-click on the recycle bin and select Properties from the context menu.

2. now select the option Delete files immediately (Do not move to recycle bin) and confirm with Ok.
