Gerade bei Modembesitzer macht sich jedesmal beim Einwählen Trübsinn breit. Leider gibt es aufgrund der Tatsache, dass die analoge Technologie nicht mehr hergibt, auch keine besonderen Hoffnungen auf blitzschnelle Einwahlen im Sinne von ISDN/DSL. Sie können aber mit einem kleinen Trick ein paar Sekunden herausholen. Mithilfe eines speziellen Initialisierungsbefehls kann man die Wählgeschwindigkeit auf 50ms pro Tonsignal, was das absolute Maximum bei herkömmlichen Modems darstellt. Sie können versuchen auch auf 40 oder gar 30 herunterzugehen – falls es funktioniert spricht das für die Qualität ihres Gerätes!
1. Click with the right mouse button on Workplace and select Properties.
2. In this new window, call up the tab Hardware forward and click on the button Geräte-Manager…
3. Click on the + Sign before Modem and select the entry for your modem by double-clicking on it.
4. A new window suddenly appears in which you can select the tab Advanced options to select it. Now enter the following in the line Further initialization commands the command S11=50 in.
As already indicated above, a smaller number also means faster dial-up. You can try 40 or 30 as a test! If your Internet no longer works, you can always increase it.
