Vista Sidebar no longer starts automatically

In einigen Fällen startet die Windows Sidebar nicht mehr automatisch und somit werden auch keine Gadgets dargestellt. Das Problem lösen Sie ganz leicht…[Von Sandro Villinger]

  1. Open "Computer" (see Desktop or Start menu) and select your system drive. You can recognize this by the Windows logo on the hard disk symbol:

    Windows_Vista-150

    This is usually drive C:!

  2. Now change to the directory "ProgramsWindows Sidebar". Click here with the right mouse button on the file "sidebar.exe".

    Windows_Vista-151

  3. Select "Create link". The file "sidebar.exe – Verknüpfung". Highlight these and simultaneously press the "CTRL+X" to cut the file.

    Windows_Vista-152

  4. Now open the start menu and select "All programs". Click with the right mouse button on "Autostart" and select "Open". Now press "CTRL+V" to insert the link to the sidebar. After a restart, the sidebar will load again automatically!

Note: The problem occurs very frequently on freshly installed systems. With Vista SP1 (Service Pack 1) this strange behavior also disappears again!
