Finally: Improve the sound on your notebook!

The new audio architecture in Windows Vista optimizes sound quality and surround sound enjoyment using various techniques. To achieve these options, you must proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Windows_Vista-157 and select Windows_Vista-158 . Wechseln Sie nun per Klick in die Kategorie…

    Windows_Vista-159

  2. Click now on Windows_Vista-160. Rechtsklicken Sie anschließend auf…

    Windows_Vista-162

    … und wählen Sie Windows_Vista-163 .

  3. Now switch to the tab Windows_Vista-164. Sie sehen hier verschiedene Einstellungsmöglichkeiten wie beispielsweise…

    Windows_Vista-165

We explain some of these technologies below: First of all, here are the "Virtual Surround", which simulates surround sound with just two loudspeakers on the notebook. It adapts the sound waves to the shape of the human head and simulates real headphones. The "Bass amplification and low frequency protection" ensures that the bass appears in the best possible quality and depth (despite the limited capabilities of the notebook speakers). The bass is shifted to a (slightly higher) frequency that can be handled by the small speakers. Although the bass is then no longer as deep, you can increase the volume further and rattling during bass-heavy passages is avoided. "Volume equalization" adjusts the volume for particularly quiet or loud passages so that they do not differ too much. We recommend that you experiment with all the options yourself by playing a piece of music and changing the options by clicking on Windows_Vista-166 test it out! At the end, all you have to do is Windows_Vista-167 and the new sound settings are active!
