Windows Me has the Disk Cleanup program, which can be found in the Start menu. This wizard starts automatically when the hard disk capacity becomes too small. Since this program is not really useful because it can only delete a few megabytes and today's hard disks have dozens of gigabytes, it is better to switch off this annoying feature:
1. Klicken sie nacheinander auf „Start“ > „Execute“ und tippen sie „regedit“ ein. Es erscheint das Registrierung Programm, welches sich von der Handhabung dem Explorer anpasst.
2. Hangeln sie sich nun durch die Schlüssel „HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explor er\MyComputer\CleanupPath“ und klicken sie im rechten Teilfenster doppelt auf den Eintrag
3. Löschen sie den gesamten Inhalt der nun erscheinden Zeile, klicken sie auf „Ok„. Ab sofort haben sie von dem lästigen Programm Ruhe.
