MHTML vulnerability in Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7

Microsoft issued a warning about a security vulnerability yesterday. The "Security Advisory 2501696", the MHTML protocol in Internet Explorer is being exploited to smuggle malware into the system. Once again, everything is being overcooked:

Der Nutzer jedoch – wie immer – explizit mit dem IE auf eine präparierte Seite surfen und einen MTHML-Link anklicken (siehe oben) – erst dann erfolgt eine Infektion. Bislang soll es, trotz Veröffentlichung der Lücke, noch keinerlei Webseiten geben, die diese Lücke tatsächlich ausnutzen.
