Robert Schlabbach has written special drivers for this purpose, which usually work faster and without problems than the device drivers from Telekom or other DSL providers. Unfortunately, the installation is somewhat more complicated than is the case with the simple installation programs, e.g. for T-DSL. We will guide you step by step through the simple installation process:

1. Click hereto download the RasPPPoE drivers from Robert Schlabbach's website. These are usually in compressed form, which is why I recommend WinAce, which easily extracts all types of compressed files. Here to find out how to access WinAce.

2. Click in the Workplace on Network environment. Choose now Show network connections and click with the right mouse button on LAN connections. From the context menu that appears, select the entry Properties.

3. A new window appears in which you can click on Install and in the next dialog select the entry Protocol mark and Add choose.

4. A new window with several driver options pops up, which you can safely leave behind and click on Browse go. Now navigate to the unzipped folder of Robert Schlabbach and double-click on raspppoe.inf.

5. A new window appears, which recognizes the protocol and asks you if you really want to use it. You answer this pointless question with OK. Once the installation is complete, you can restart the computer and log in via the dial-up network, which is described in the following article:
