Each computer on the Internet or network is assigned a unique number for identification: The IP address, which consists of several numbers separated by dots. For games or other Internet applications, you often need the number of your own computer, which you can query in this way:
1. In the Start menu, click on Programs/Accessories and select MS-DOS command prompt.

2. Now type the command ipconfig and confirm with Enter. Your number will be displayed directly after IP address.
