Windows XP – Schlechter Ping (Lag) bei Counterstrike mit DSL

Falls Sie über eine DSL-Verbindung verfügen und z.B. von Windows 98 auf Windows XP umgestiegen sind, so wird Ihnen aufgefallen sein, dass beim 3D-Shooter Counterstrike der Ping von z.B. 60 auf 120 oder mehr erhöht wurde, was einen langsameneren Spielablauf mit häufigen Lags mit sich zieht.

1. Start Counterstrike and immediately afterwards the Task Manager, which you can open via CTRL+ALT+ENTF reach.

2. Now switch to the tab Processes and click with the right mouse button on hl.exe click. A context menu will appear in which you can choose between Set priority for the stage Low decide.

Now you can return to the game with peace of mind and the lags with the lousy 120 ping are gone forever. You can also set a rule for Counterstrike by creating a ready-made batch file. Read how this works here!
