.INFO extensions in Live Messenger

It's really unbelievable: For a few days (approx.) it has been in the Windows Live Messenger nicht mehr möglich, URLs mit der „.info“-Endung im Domainnamen zu verschicken.

The day before yesterday, for example, I wondered why my counterpart didn't react after I had read the Windows Vista installation instructions https://tpmadalina36.supserv.cozmoslabs.com/?p=9 per Messenger weitergeschickt habe.

Together with Dominik from Winforpro.com I tested a bit in Messenger and we found out that only .info domains are affected! Also here I finally stumbled across this little impertinence!

My questions for the Messenger team:

  2. Why do you write in your blog on http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/ nothing about it?

Ich kann den Leuten von „Messenger Stuff“ (http://www.msgstuff.com) can only agree: A typical example of sloppy, hasty development! Yikes!
